Vince and I usually communicate multiple times throughout the day. He’s often at the ranch, and I’m in Los Angeles, those little touch-ins, brief updates, love notes, sprinkling of emojis throughout the day keep us connected.
So one day last week I knew he was having a full day with a lot of calls and meetings, and wasn’t surprised that I didn’t hear much from him.
But towards the end of the day, I noticed my nervous system getting a little anxious—the adult in me knew he was very busy, but the little girl in me who grew up with a wounded mother subject to mood swings and hidden resentments, suddenly got triggered.
I didn’t act on it, but when Vince and I finally spoke at the end of the day, I shared the unexpected anxiety that had been triggered. I asked him if he was maybe upset with me for any reason, or if there was any problem between us that he wasn’t communicating.
Instead of getting defensive or making me wrong, he just paused, looked at me tenderly in the eyes over our little FaceTime call, and said to me:
“My Love, I promise you that I will always tell you or share with you if I’m struggling with something between us. I will never give you the silent treatment, and you will never have to try and guess if there’s a problem…”
“And when I communicate with you, I will always first look to myself and communicate what I’m struggling with inside myself, expressing what has been triggered in me and taking responsibility for it. I will never point fingers at you or blame you, and once I’ve communicated what I’m struggling with, we can figure that out together.”
Wow… I realized the little girl in me had actually never heard anyone lay things out like that for her so lovingly and clearly, and tears from decades of fear and tension rolled down my cheeks.
The emotional safety and solid foundation that Vince provided for me in that moment offered me an opportunity to relax within my own soul and psyche in a way I’ve never quite experienced before.
Moments like these make me even more committed to The Art of Partnership. I want to help so many more people have access to these sorts of opportunities in their own lives and partnerships.
What are your thoughts? We’d love to hear your experiences and/or how this resonates with you. Drop a comment below and don’t forget to include “magic” and we’ll send you the link for our Love Letters Newsletter ❤️🔥🕺🏼💃🏻

If you hold space for others… this training will change how you do it.
This 3-day intensive is a deep dive into the art and mechanics of experiential process facilitation with real-time practice, feedback, and shadow work of your own.
Because the depth you can hold for others is the depth you’re willing to face yourself.
Join Martin Lassoff, Vince Chafin (@vincematoska) and Karen Strassman (@karenstrassman) in a Master Class on experiential process facilitation as we deepen into what it means to support humans on their pathway of healing. Having lead 100’s of trainings for the ManKind Project and Sacred Sons, Martin and Vince are highly skilled Teachers and Practitioners.
We will be exploring and deepening our understandings of:
• Gestalt techniques
• Psychodrama
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• IMAGO relationship work
• NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
• Bioenergetic processes
• Somatic techniques
• Family Constellation work
• Shadow Work
Be prepared to look at your own shadows, the things you hide, repress and deny as this is the very foundation of creating “safe spaces” for transformation.
• 3-Day Intensive
• Deep dive into the “How To” and “Why” of Process Facilitation
• Real-Time Practice and Feedback on your facilitation

We are here to celebrate partnership and provide practical tools for the everyday art that it requires.
Which also means that we are here to be myth busters! There are a lot of powerful myths or stories regarding partnership…and while many of us may have or continue to live them, we are here to encourage embodying a new story/experience.
And yes, it takes two to tango! Partnership is about two humans coming together and actively choosing one another everyday.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on myth one in the comments below!
And don’t forget, our first event is coming up very soon @thezuladen on February 14th (that’s right! ❤️💃🏻🕺🏼), comment “Myth” and we’ll send you the details!

The Art of Partnership

This is just a little window into the inspiration behind creating the Art of Partnership. From the beginning we’ve wanted to not just be in service to one another, but something greater than our partnership.
We are here to share the practical tools and wisdom we’ve collected and cultivated over many decades and are now using in creating easeful, blissful partnership. It is our vision that all that we have and are experiencing can support others in their journey of partnership.
Lots of exciting news coming soon! Comment “partnership” and we’ll be sure to add you to our Love Letters newsletter for upcoming events and plenty of practical magic tools for partnership.
Welcome to the Art of Partnership!
We’re using our first post as an opportunity to share what our vision is for creating what is both a celebration and an invitation. A celebration of love and everyone who is in or would like to be in partnership, and an invitation into the tools and everyday practice that support two humans in standing side by side together.
Plenty more to come, but in the meantime, comment “art” and we will send you a link to our website, or simply click the link in our bio for more information. Please be sure to like, comment and follow us if you’d like to stay in touch as we begin to offer workshops, weekends and digital offerings.
